Diane Pribor ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Caring Cremation Services on Mar. 17, 2026.Diane Josephine (Robb) Pribor, 92, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at her residence in Oakleaf Village Assisted Living for Sylvania/Toledo. She had been ailing from the complications from a bout of pneumonia suffered a little more than a year ago.Diane was born on December 10, 1933 in Sorsogon, Bicol, The Philippines to Robert Yelton Robb and Elvira Josephina (Camara) Robb. She completed her baccalaureate at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, and her Masters in Political Science at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. She would work in the John F. Kennedy administration in the Department of Health, Education and Welfare (HEW). It was in Washington D.C. where she met her husband Donald B. Pribor.Diane and family located to Toledo, Ohio in 1965. All of her children attended Rosary Cathedral Elementary and continued on to St. Francis de Sales High School. Diane initially became quite active in the advocacy of fair housing in the inner city Toledo through the shared stewardship within the Central Toledo Action Committee (CTAC). Diane remained committed to issues of equality and justice throughout her life.After her sons were of an age that they could take care of themselves, Diane entered the formal workforce. She spent the later part of her professional career as a Certified Financial Planner.Through a sixty year history of living in Toledo, Diane participated in many activities. For her love of singing she was a long-time member (alto) of the Masterpiece Choral. She had studied judo. Diane had been in a fencing club. Just before entering assisted living, she spent many years swimming. From all of these activities and more, Diane gained a great many friendships.She was proceeded in death by her parents and her sister, Angelita Antonia (Robb) Haims and brother Robert Maria Robb. She leaves her sons, Donald, Paul, Matthew, and Andrew, as well as her granddaughter, Alexis, and great-grandsons, Landon and Damien.Diane had requested that her body be cremated to be held at the St. Peter Columbarium at Cavalry Cemetery in Toledo.Masses will be said in her memory at St. Joseph's of Sylvania on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 8:30 am and Friday, May 15, 2026 at 6:45 am as well as at Rosary Cathedral of Toledo on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 10:00 am.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
