Enfield, CT
Diane L. Wadsworth, 80, of Enfield, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at her home on March 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving daughters, Karen and Sharon, and her cherished cat, Lilly.
Born on December 1, 1945, in Hartford, Connecticut, Diane was the daughter of the late Viola (Rowe) and Harry LeClaire. Raised in Granby, she graduated from Granby High School in 1964. She enjoyed a long and successful career in the freight exporting industry, working for Burlington Northern, Emery, and UPS.
Affectionately known as “Gee” by her family, Diane was deeply devoted to helping others. An active member of River Valley Fellowship Church, she served in many roles, including as a Community Chaplain. Her generosity extended into the wider community as she delivered Meals on Wheels, provided transportation through Nutmeg Senior Rides, Inc., and regularly shopped and cooked for neighbors and friends. She treasured time spent with family and friends at church and in her Shaker Pines Lake neighborhood, especially enjoying Bingo and her weekly card games with dear friends Karen and Jerry Blais.
Diane is survived by her daughters, Karen (Steve) and Sharon (Arthur); her grandchildren, Emily (Brennen), Erin (Mike), Sarah, Max (Nick), and Adam (Hannah); her great-grandchildren, Declan and Etta; her sister, Dorothy (Joe); and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert; her parents, Viola and Harry; her brothers, Harry Jr., John, and Roy; her sister-in-law, Maureen; and her son-in-law, Paul.
