Diane K. Staszak

Diane K. Staszak, age 74, of Tallmadge, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 10, 2026. Born in Akron, Ohio to John and Margaret Custer, she graduated from Kenmore High School and earned her nursing diploma from Akron General Hospital. Diane devoted more than four decades to caring for others as a pediatric nurse and surgical nurse clinician at Akron Children’s Hospital, where her skill and compassion touched the lives of countless children and their families. In recognition of her exceptional dedication, she received the prestigious Cameos of Caring Award.

Her greatest joy was her family. A loving wife, mother, and Grammy, Diane cherished every moment spent with those closest to her. She created lasting memories and traditions that her family will treasure always. She especially loved traveling with her husband, gathering around the fire in their home, cooking and baking for loved ones, and spending summers at the beach with her grandchildren.

Diane is survived by her beloved husband, Steven Staszak; her children, Steven (Arene) Staszak II, Christina (Brent) Hovey, and David (Sarah) Staszak; her cherished grandchildren, Leila, Kiera, Annalise, Steven, Giuliana, Landon, Alaina, and Rocco; her sister Carol (Adam) Esterle; and her brother John (Karen) Custer. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she gave so freely to everyone around her. Her legacy of compassion and devotion to family will live on in all who knew and loved her.
