She was predeceased by: her husband Stephen Andrew Evans; her parents, Laurens Vernes and Ella Vernes (Dougherty); and her siblings, Joyce Jerauld, Roy Knowles and Nancy Knowles.

She is survived by: her children, Kurt Evans and Karen Evans (Paul Lebinski); and her brothers, Terrence Vernes and Robert Lombard. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home (390 River Rd, Shelton, CT 06484).
