Diana Zink ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Criswell Funeral Home - Ada on Mar. 2, 2026.Diana Ruth (Leonard) Zink was born on September 26, 1958 to Hugh Jackson Leonard and Norma Faye (Davenport) Leonard in Ada, Oklahoma. She passed from this life into the waiting arms of her lord at her home in Byng, Oklahoma on February 28, 2026.As the daughter of an active Navy serviceman and homemaker, Diana spent her early years following her daddy across the US. A memory she shared, not so fondly, was that she wasn't allowed to spend the night on her daddy's ship like her younger brother, David. After Hugh retired from the US Navy, the Leonards' made their home back in Ada, Oklahoma. Diana spent her time enjoying her many cousins, dragging Main Street in Ada and enjoying family reunions. Diana was an active member at Evangelistic Temple where she had a close group of friends. She graduated from Byng High School in 1976. She joined her cousin at bible college for a semester before coming back to Ada. She worked at TG&Y and a local insurance company before she began her lengthy tenure with the Chickasaw Nation. Diana served the Chickasaw Nation and their citizens for over 44 years. She found joy in work and the relationships she made over the years.Diana's greatest joys were her family and her dogs. She married Stephen Zink on April 28, 2013. They loved taking short trips, cooking meals together and visiting family. She never failed to take the opportunity to share how proud she was of her daughter, Jillian, or support her in whatever she was doing. Though she had many titles, (mother, daughter, sister, wife, friend...), the title she wore with the most pride was Mimi. She became a Mimi in 2019 and she was never the same. There has never been a child more loved than her grandson, Hudson. Shortly before her passing her daughter and son in law brought her another child to love, Harper. Mimi showed up and loved Harper just as much as she loved Hudson. Mimi and Papa Steve were looking forward to a cruise this summer to celebrate Harper's adoption. Our world will never be the same without Diana. Even through her daily pain and discomfort she has been remembered as "the kindest and sweetest woman." She always put other people first. She was a servant after the heart of Jesus. And now she is rejoicing in her savior's presence, whole and pain free. She is surrounded by the family who have gone before: her daddy, Hugh Leonard; her brother and sister-in-law David and Becky Leonard; her grandmother Gussie Davenport; many other aunts and uncles and her best friend Peni Whipple.Diana is survived by her husband Stephen Zink of the home in Byng, Oklahoma; daughter Jillian Ewen and husband Travis Ewen of Chickasha, Oklahoma; mother Norma Leonard of Ada, Oklahoma; grandchildren Harper and Hudson Ewen of Chickasha, Oklahoma; Alexis and Peighton Ewen of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and many other family and friends.Diana's memorial service will be at Crosspointe Church in Ada, Oklahoma March 4, 2026 at 10am. The family will gather at Criswell Funeral Home on Tuesday March 3rd from 5-7pm for anyone who would like to visit. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
