Diana Fitzgibbons, 63, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, in Bloomington, Indiana, after a hard fought battle with ovarian cancer.She was intelligent and adventurous and will be warmly remembered for her love of family and faith.??Born June 11, 1962, in Peoria, Illinois, Diana Fitzgibbons was the beloved daughter of the late George W. Cackley and Elizabeth Joann (Pontius) Cackley.She was a proud graduate of Farmington East High School and earned her degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois. Diana dedicated her professional life to Quality Engineering and retired from Cook Medical in 2020.??Diana cherished time spent traveling the world with friends, family, and even solo. She drove across America multiple times and visited countless countries. She was a member of Sherwood Oaks Christian Church in Bloomington, and found strength in her faith.??Her memory will be forever treasured by her loving children: Erin E. Fitzgibbons of Chicago, Illinois, and Ryan W. Fitzgibbons of Bloomington; her siblings: Linda J. (Cackley) Vernon and her husband, Stephen DeVere Vernon, of Hanna City, Illinois, and Steven W. Cackley and his wife, Becky (Bain) Cackley, of Hanna City. She will also be missed by her other close family and friends who adventured through life with her.??She was preceded in death by her father George W. Cackley and her mother Elizabeth Joann (Pontius) Cackley.??DeJong-Printy Funeral Home (917 Blondeau St, Keokuk) is handling final arrangements.Funeral services will take place on Saturday March 14 at noon, with the Rev. Gronewald officiating.
