He was predeceased by: his wife Nellie Joyce Turbyfill (Zuber); his parents, Tom Turbyfill and Nancy Turbyfill; and his brothers, Cledus Turbyfill, Xuryvan Turbyfill and Tommy Turbyfill.

He is survived by: his daughters, Tammy Lea Bunt (Denver) of Benton and Angela Sue Murphey (Tim) of Niceville, Florida.; his grandchildren, Mark "Alan" Couch, John Paul Propst II, Kendall Murphey (Emily), Thomas Murphey and Matthew Murphey (Carley); and his brother-in-law Kenneth Zuber (Katherine). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Home (322 N Market St, Benton, AR 72015). A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Pinecrest Cemetery (7401 AR-5, Alexander, AR 72002).
