She was predeceased by: her parents, William Whitman and Dessie Kelly; and her husband L. C. Postell. She is survived by: her children, Lynn Hyde (Bart), Diane Nesbitt, Sandra Doss, Sharron Shirey (George), Frankie Postell, Karen Bonner, Genetta Steien and Chris Brannon; her brother Billy Whitman (Fayrene); her siblings-in-law, Cotton Postell, Donnie Postell and Luvoice Berry; and her grandchildren, Chris (Pam), Joey (Tracy), Adam (Mitzi), Ami Lynn (Chris), Kensley, Jake (Gracie), Dexter (Ashley), Kaleb, Jonathon, Hunter, Haley, Hanna, Whitney (Michael) and Deanna. She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pinkard Funeral Home (1308 21st St, Haleyville, AL 35565). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
