Denver Joe Rose, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, at AdventHealth Hendersonville, surrounded by his loving family. He was 81 years old.

Born on August 28, 1944, in Huntington, West Virginia, Denver was the cherished son of Garnet Edward and Ethel Lawhon Rose. He spent his formative years in Huntington, where he developed a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors. After a fulfilling career with Appalachian Technologies, he embraced semi-retirement by driving a bus part-time for WNC Source, touching many lives with his kindness and dedication. A man of strong Christian faith, he was a devoted member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church, where his presence served as a source of inspiration and comfort to all who knew him.

Denver found great joy in the outdoors, working in his yard, gardening, and canning the vegetables he grew with care. He was a skilled cook who brought happiness to his family through the meals he prepared. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

In addition to his parents, Denver was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Sharon Rose, and his siblings, Ed Rose, Bob Rose, Ruth Wallace, Bert Hollsworth, Bill Rose, and Myrt Jarrell. He is survived by his children, Michael Rose and wife Tracy, and Becki Snyder and husband Steve; his grandchildren, Colby Rose and wife Skylar, Micayla Bramlett and husband Daniel, Emma Snyder, and Ella Snyder; and his great-grandchildren, Bently Rose, Tucker Rose, Kinsley Rose, Magnolia Bramlett, and John Lucas Bramlett. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will remember him fondly.

Denver led a life marked by unwavering faith, deep love for his family, and a generous heart. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
