He was predeceased by: his parents, Denver E. Phillips and Maxine Phillips; his wife Connie; and his brother Karl Phillips. He is survived by: his sons, Richard "Rick" Phillips (Ed Murray) of Palm Coast, Florida, Troy Phillips (Linda) of Dundee, Ohio and Scott Phillips (David Kling) of Huron, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Kayla Miller (Tyler), Josh Phillips (Miranda), Jon Phillips, Anthony Phillips and Elizabeth Phillips; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Everett, Chase and Hadley; and his siblings, Sharon Souder (Don), Cyns Stutzman (Dale), Portia Schneider (Larry), Brad Phillips (Cheryl) and Steph Miller (Karl).

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Westlawn Cemetery (2310 US-62, Dundee, OH 44690).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
