Denny Fabrizi, 77, of Erie, Pennsylvania, died peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family. Born on July 7, 1948, in Erie to the late John Fabrizi and Anna Mae (DeDad) Fabrizi, Denny graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1966. He began his career with GTE before enlisting in the United States Air Force in October 1967. Stationed in Texas for three years, he completed a year-long tour of duty in Vietnam. After his honorable service, he returned home, resumed his work with GTE, and retired from Verizon in 2008 after 43 years of dedicated service.
A gifted musician from an early age, Denny began playing instruments at seven and excelled at the keyboard and accordion. Over the decades he performed with countless bands, most recently with Ruby Port and Gypsy Heart, sharing his talent and joy of music with many.
He is survived by his wife, Laurie; his four children, Rachel, Devin, Chad, and Allie Fabrizi; his step-daughter, Julie Hilyer; his siblings, Tom Fabrizi and Barb Bruskevith; and his children’s mother, Tammy Sweet. He was also cherished by his beloved cat, Mia.
