With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Dennis William Metzen (Wellington, Kansas), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Dennis left this world on March 8, 2026 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Metzen and Barbara Metzen; and his sisters, Marilyn Cook (Albert), Elizabeth Lucas (Danny) and Patricia Robinson.

He is survived by: his sons, Gregory Metzen (Elizabeth) and Phillip Metzen (Krystle); his grandchildren, Jackson, Ava, Tanner and Conner Metzen; his siblings, Raymond Metzen (Theresa), Ronald Metzen (Linda), John Metzen (Susan), Darlene Metzen and Sheryl Sheppard; and his brother-in-law Darle Robinson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A rosary will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the St. Anthony-St. Rose Catholic Church (210 N B St, Wellington, KS 67152). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the St. Marks Catholic Church and Cemetery (19230 West 29th St N, Colwich, KS 67030).
