Dennis Walter Krajewski

Dennis Walter Krajewski

September 23, 1939 March 12, 2026

Madison, WI

Dennis Walter Krajewski passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in Madison, Wisconsin, at the age of 86.

Born on September 23, 1939, in Duluth, Minnesota, to Bronce and Isobel Krajewski, Dennis built his life around hard work, family, faith, and a deep love of the outdoors. An avid fisherman, he especially treasured days spent fishing at Fish Lake with his children. His affection for animals was profound; he kept many beloved dogs throughout his life and once moved his family for a time to a farm near Duluth so they could enjoy that connection to the land.

Dennis proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1960. While stationed in California, he met the love of his life, Joyce Ann Collier, and they married on February 23, 1963. They returned to Duluth, where Dennis worked for more than 30 years at the Georgia Pacific Superwood plant. The familiar scent of wood on his clothes when he returned home each day spoke of his steady dedication to providing for his family. A devoted husband and father, he always made time for his six children despite long workdays. A strong believer in Christ, he lived as a kind and gentle man who welcomed everyone, even strangers, with warmth.

Later in life, Dennis and Joyce moved to southern Wisconsin to be closer to their two daughters, allowing them to spend cherished time with the grandchildren they adored. He was deeply proud of his children and their spouses. Dennis is survived by his children, Pamela Weiss (Robert), Greg (Lesa), Joe, Jennifer Bradley (Mead), and Teresa; his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his siblings, who will remember him fondly.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; his son, Michael Krajewski; his grandchildren, Emily Rose and Austin; and several extended family members.
