He was predeceased by: his mother Lula M. Ransom. He is survived by: his father Charles Ransom Jr.; his children, Steven Maurice Ransom (Danicka) of Clermont, Florida, Denishia Ransom of Kissimmee, Florida and Monique Isom (Leonard Demore) of Elyria, Ohio; his stepchildren, Anthony Cummings and Chitikia Williams (Shannon); his sisters, Denise Ransom-Morris of Raleigh and Rhonda Ransom of Charlotte; his siblings-in-law, Pam Oliver, Brenda Gault, Jean Trice and William Cummings; his grandchildren, Ty'Ajia Ransom-Diop (Mohamed), Steven Phillips, Steven Witherspoon Jr., Elisha Witherspoon and Braxton Steven Maurice Ransom; and his great grandchildren, Amina Phillips, Amari Phillips, A'Kinzley Phillips and Kiyah Diop. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home (127 W Bridge St, Elyria, OH 44035). Viewing will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Bethany Baptist Church (334 17th St, Elyria, OH 44035). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
