Dennis C. Massey

Dennis C. Massey, 78, of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born on December 28, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Chief Joseph Massey and Elizabeth Massey.

Dennis graduated from Oakcrest High School in Mays Landing in 1966. He soon enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country from 1966 to 1968 during the Vietnam era. After his military service, he began a long career in law enforcement with the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office in Mays Landing, where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant before retiring.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Massey; his sister, Monica McCarson; his niece, Amanda Bohatila and her husband, Clarence; and his great-nephew and great-niece, CJ and Mya Bohatila.

Dennis will be remembered for his dedicated service to his country, his commitment to law enforcement, and the quiet devotion he showed to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
