February 4, 1972— March 10, 2026
Sunset, UT
Denise Lowder Perkins was born on February 4, 1972, in Ogden, Utah, to Vicky and Robert Lowder, and passed away on March 10, 2026, at her home at the age of 54.
She grew up in Clinton, Utah, as one of seven children in a family deeply involved in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Denise attended Clearfield High School and later earned her GED through a program for expecting mothers while pregnant with her first son, Brad. She went on to raise two more children, Tiffany and Skyler, with her first husband before meeting and marrying Brent R. Perkins. Together for 29 years, they made their home in Sunset, Utah, where they welcomed three more sons, Tony, Taylor, and Tyler, and their youngest son, Mackenzie B. Perkins.
Denise devoted much of her life to helping others, working as a secretary, school crossing guard, cafeteria worker, and later as a call center representative. She found great joy in the outdoors, especially camping and fishing with her family, and cherished long drives with her music playing. At home, her creativity flourished through quilting, stained glass, needlepoint, and holiday baking. A lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she was sealed to Brent on January 25, 2001.
She is survived by her husband, Brent R. Perkins; her children, Brad Backus, Skyler Perkins, and Mackenzie Perkins; her step-sons, Taylor Perkins, Tony Perkins, and Tyler Perkins; and her many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Tiffany, her parents Robert and Vicky Lowder, and her grandparents.
