Denise Childers Wester

Denise Childers Wester, 72, of Lithia Springs, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026. Born on February 8, 1954, she was the daughter of the late William Dean Childers and the late Elene Bunch Childers.

For twenty-two years, Denise served as a school bus driver for the Douglas County Board of Education. Her dedication to the safety and well-being of the children in her care reflected her caring nature and strong sense of responsibility.

Beyond her work, Denise cherished the bonds of family and friendship. She found great joy in traveling with her cousins, creating lasting memories together, and she held a special affection for both the beach and the mountains. She loved gathering with her family, lifting her hands in praise at church each Sunday, and spending time with her church family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bobby Wilson Wester; sons, Bart (Jennifer) Wester of Temple, Georgia, and Colby Wester of Temple, Georgia; sister, Debbie (Mike) Kimbrell of Temple, Georgia; brother, Danny (Em) Childers of Marietta, Georgia; three grandchildren, Ethan Wester, Bailey Wester, and Brady Wester; and numerous nieces and nephews.
