Deloris Ruth Baxter, 81, of Temple, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Born on May 3, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Roberts and the late Dena Adkins Roberts.

Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and dear friend. She embodied strength, love, and unwavering support, always uplifting those around her with an extraordinary gift for making each person feel truly cherished.

A devoted member of Liberty Christian Church in Temple, Ruth’s strong faith was the foundation of her life. She inspired everyone who knew her through her devotion, kindness, and love. An amazing cook, she brought family and friends together through countless meals and special occasions. Ruth also expressed her affection through the written word, taking great joy in sending thoughtful cards for birthdays, holidays, and any moment worth celebrating. Her gestures brought hugs and smiles to many, reminding them of her caring nature.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Baxter, and her brothers, Henry Eskins, Dewey E. Roberts, James Roberts, Tommy Roberts, and Billy Roberts.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Rebecca Moody, and Liz and Donald Norman, all of Temple; her brother and sister-in-law, George and Vicki Roberts of Carrollton; four grandchildren, Donnie, Amanda, Matt, and Shelby; great-grandchildren, Darcy, Jaxson, and David; and several nieces and nephews.

Ruth leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
