Born on August 8, 1954, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, Delores was the cherished daughter of Dwight K. Hood and Patricia Lou Hood (nee Cusick). She graduated from Elyria High School in 1972 and took great joy in staying connected with her classmates, enthusiastically participating in reunion planning and activities.Throughout her life, Delores called Northern Ohio, San Francisco and Lake Havasu City home. She was a successful business owner in Lake Havasu for many years, where she became well known and respected in the community.On October 17, 1992, Delores married the love of her life, Larry Tomasek, and together they shared 28 wonderful years filled with love, partnership and countless memories.Delores will be remembered for her elegant style, quick wit and remarkable ability to form lifelong friendships. She was deeply devoted to her family, always checking in with warmth, laughter and heartfelt concern. Her strong intuition and genuine care for others drew people to her, and she was adored by friends and neighbors alike.Delores was proceded in death by her parents, Dwight and Patricia, and her sister, Susan Hood. She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Alexis Bomback; her brothers, James Hood (Denise) and Michael Hood (Becky); her nieces and nephews; and her beloved black dachshund, Tootsie.Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
