She was born in Marshall, TX on January 5, 1939, the second child of James & Amie Riggins.Delores spent most of her childhood in Yakima, WA before moving to Los Angeles, CA as an adult. There, she worked as a dispatcher for the LAPD and studied radiology at a local college. She also met Henry Earl Marion, and they were united in marriage on March 5, 1960. They welcomed two children (David & Diane) before moving to Aberdeen, MS in 1970 to serve where the need was greater as Jehovah's Witnesses. There they welcomed a third child (Denice) and launched multiple businesses together as entrepreneurs, most notably: ABC Nursery & Pre-School, DeMarion Janitorial Services (which spanned 8 states wide and had 700 employees) and Henry's BBQ (a restaurant and grocery store). Upon retirement, the Marions returned back to Marshall, TX.Delores loved family, fashion, music, & CNN. She was an avid sports fan, especially of Patrick Mahomes and Steph Curry. She had a uniquely special relationship with each of her children and grandchildren. Delores found joy in puzzles (crossword and Sudoku) and shopping. Her well-known phrases included: 'Shop 'til you drop!', 'Sweetums', & 'I love you muchly!'To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
