Dee was born in Ithaca, New York to the late Hugh and Ida (Quick) Mapes. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her two stepsons, Ronald Andrews, Richard Andrews; sister, Gertie Hardisky; stepsisters, Diane Quick, Almeda Schriber, Carrie Osborne. Dee is survived by her husband of 46 years, John "Jack" Andrews; three children, Raymond (Suzanne) Sears, Jr, Ricky Sears, Debby and Robert Hover, Jr; five step-children, Cheryl Gorsline, David Andrews, Michael (Lorie) Andrews, Edward (Kristy) Andrews, Jerry (Rikki) Andrews; six grandchildren, Robert Hover, Joshua (Alexis) Hover, Christopher (Morgan) Hover, Tara (Andy) Sears Robinson, Jordan Sears (Angela Everhart), Breanna Sears; 21 step-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; four stepbrothers, Donnie Quick, David Quick, Gary Mapes, Harry Mapes; close friends, Teresa Burgess, Dan Canavan, Pat Grover, Mary Kenyon; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dee worked as a waitress at the Manos Restaurant, Ithaca, New York. The family will receive friends Friday, March 6, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at 12:00 Noon.
