Delores Ann Meredith, affectionately known as Miss Lois or Momma Lois, passed away on March 1, 2026, at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital. Born on June 28, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Herman Willis and Willie Mae Jackson, she spent many years working at the Candy Factory in Centralia, Illinois, before devoting the majority of her career to Rockwell International in the same city.
Delores found joy in playing bingo, solving word puzzles, and sharing quiet moments with her church family at Corinthian Baptist Church, where she built lifelong friendships. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, offering them warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Willis and Willie Mae Jackson, and her siblings Dorothy and Isaac. Delores is survived by her sons Nathaniel Willis (Pamela), Willie B. Meredith, Jr., and Andrew Meredith; her siblings McKenzie Jackson of St. Louis, Missouri, Deborah Willis of Columbus, Georgia, Nancy Willis of Atlanta, Georgia, Herman Willis, Jr., Thurman Willis, Sherman Willis, and Patricia Willis; her grandchildren Nastaucia, Dante, Quantrell (“Trell”), Courtney, Nate, Ariel, Will, Kellci, Brandi, Xavier, Jaryan, and Jaira; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will carry her memory forward.
