October 7, 1932— March 5, 2026
Dexter, MN
Delmer Earl Tapp, age 93, of Dexter, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at St. Mark’s Living in Austin.
Born on October 7, 1932, to Harvey and Julia (Kruse) in Brownsdale, Minnesota, Delmer married Ardythe Krull on June 14, 1957, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Brownsdale. Together they raised five children.
Farming was never merely a livelihood for Delmer but a way of life. A dedicated farmer in the Dexter area, he took deep pride in working the land and especially cherished the days spent in the fields alongside his sons. Those years were marked by hard work and the quiet strengthening of family bonds.
In 1989, he built a family cabin in northern Minnesota, a gathering place where loved ones could enjoy the outdoors. True to his generous spirit, Delmer spent much of his time there helping nearby lodges with daily tasks, always content to stay busy and lend a hand to others. His greatest joy remained his family.
He is survived by his children, Linda Tapp, Alan Tapp, Norman Tapp, Daniel (Darcy) Tapp, and Sandy (Don) Daily; seven grandchildren, Alexandra Tapp, Christian Daily, William Tapp, Miranda Daily, Caitlynn Tapp, Lukas Tapp, and Liam Tapp; one brother, John (Amy) Tapp; and many nieces and nephews.
Delmer was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Julia; his wife, Ardythe; seven brothers, Howard, Raymond, Donald, Wayne, Glen, Leslie, and Gaylord; two sisters, Maxine Carmichael and Irene Parker; and his daughter-in-law, Kelly (McCluskey) Tapp.
