Born June 26th, 1937 in Marion, Ohio to George Arthur and Clover Virginia (Gruber) Huntsman. He died February 24th, 2026 in Frisco, Texas at the age of 88.He graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1955, and married the love of his life, Beverly Louise Poling, on November 15th, 1958 in Marysville, Ohio.They lived in Marion, Columbus, and Toledo, Ohio where he worked for the Erie Lackawanna Railroad and the McDonald's Corporation. McDonald's took him to Oklahoma City, OK and then to Brenham, TX where he was an owner-operator. He continued in the restaurant business in Brenham and College Station, and worked in food service at Texas A&M. A highlight of his career was the opportunity to work for the Army Air Force Exchange in Heidelberg, Germany, where he and Beverly lived for several years.Delbert was an avid bowler, loved to fish, was a youth baseball coach and umpire and an enthusiastic spectator of all sports. He loved to seek out good restaurants and donut shops, and was known for his outgoing personality - he truly never met a stranger.Delbert is preceded in death by his parents, his Aunt Eva Mae Mitchell, and an infant daughter. He is survived by his wife Beverly of 67 years, his children - Dee Huntsman of Frisco, TX; Karin Matthews and husband Greg of Frisco, TX; Doug Huntsman and wife Lisa of Ft Worth, TX. Grandchildren Stephanie Atkins of Brenham, TX; Lee Huntsman and Mary Busby of Brenham, TX; Dustin Huntsman and Richard DeSilvey of Lakewood, CO; Jennifer Etheredge and husband Jon of Austin, TX; and Raven (Lindsay) Matthews of Frisco, TX. Great-grandchildren are Parker, Sawyer, Cooper and Harper Atkins; Aerynn Huntsman; Sadie and Mary J Schaub; special cousins and their families: Kim Mitchell of Caledonia, OH; Roger Graff, of Austin, TX; and Larry Gruber of Mt Vernon, OH.A service to celebrate Delbert's life will be on Saturday March 7th, 2026, 2pm, at Grace Avenue United Methodist Church worship center, 3521 Main Street, Frisco, TX.
