Magazine, AR

Debra Lynn “Debbie” Gibson, 64, of Magazine, Arkansas, was born on February 23, 1962, and passed away on March 10, 2026.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Willie Adron Gibson Jr., and her mother, Shirley Raye Gibson (Holt). She is survived by her daughter, Adrianne, and Adrianne’s husband, Jus Oliver; her sister, Dana, and Dana’s husband, Ernest Goff; her grandchildren, Michael Oliver, Cora Gibson, and Kinsley Oliver; her honorary son, James “Jimmy” Daws; her aunt, Linda Gibson; her stepsons, Chris Ihle and Jeremy Ihle; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A dedicated worker, Debbie held positions at DPM in Booneville, the Booneville Police Department, and the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, where she served for several years as a dispatcher and jailor. She later retired to care for her parents. She found deep fulfillment in helping others and caring for her family and friends. She loved golfing, dancing with friends, cheering for the Arkansas Razorbacks basketball team, and staying connected to her great-niece’s softball games even when she could not attend in person. As “Gigi,” she cherished playing word games with her grandchildren and watching cooking and home-renovation shows together. Music brought her special joy, whether singing with family or simply sharing quiet moments. She began each day with a fresh cup of coffee.

A 1981 graduate of Magazine High School, Debbie was a longtime member of the Magazine Methodist Church and took great pride in the work of the Mattie Cravens Women’s Circle and its support for children and families.
