Deborah "Debbie" Marie Velazquez, 60, of Hughes Springs, Texas, passed away on March 11, 2026, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 16, 1966, in Lone Star, Texas, to Robert Louis Moore and Patsy Easley Moore, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister who found her deepest fulfillment in caring for those she loved.
Known affectionately as "Mama" to everyone in her life, Debbie’s greatest joy was spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She expressed her love through cooking for her family, tending to her yard with quiet dedication, and savoring peaceful days outdoors while camping. Her caring heart and warm, welcoming spirit made everyone around her feel at home.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patsy Easley Moore. Debbie is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jose Velazquez; her father, Robert Louis Moore; her daughters, Christina Marie Felipe (Michael), Gloria Loretta Driggers (Derek), Valentina Victoria Snyder (Chris), and Eladia Sofia Carpenter (Justin); her sons, Jose De Jesus Velazquez, Jr. (Kristen) and Martin Nathaniel Velazquez (Skylar); her grandchildren, Triston Joudah, Christopher Snyder, Jr., Jaila Snyder, Lexis Smoak, Korbin Velazquez, Paxton Carpenter, Porter Carpenter, Pinsley Carpenter, Raylan Driggers, Alaina Velazquez, and Carter Velazquez; her brothers, Robert Dale Moore (Michelle) and Raymond Danny Moore; and her sister, Mary Diane Amos (James).
Her love, warmth, and the cherished memories she created will live on in the hearts of her family.
