Deborah Sue Caruthers, age 73, of Martin, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Henry County Nursing Facility.
Born on September 18, 1952, to the late Charles Chappell and Mary Sue Gardner Chappell, Deborah was a graduate of Martin High School and spent her life as a devoted homemaker. She found deep fulfillment in caring for her family and creating a warm home for those she loved.
She is survived by her son, Joshua (Mandi) Guy of Dresden, TN; three grandchildren, Cerria Everett of Knoxville, TN, Gabriel Guy of South Fulton, TN, and Jakob Guy of Sharon, TN; and two great-grandchildren, Theo Guy of Sharon, TN, and Whitfield Weiss of Knoxville, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Charles Chappell.
