Deborah O. Palmer

May 8, 1964 February 11, 2026

Manchester, CT

Deborah Oslund Palmer, 61, of Manchester, Connecticut, passed away on February 11, 2026 at home, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with heart failure. Born on May 8, 1964 in Hartford, Connecticut, she was the beloved wife of Fred Palmer Sr. since 2013. She was predeceased by her parents, Judith “Judie” Fontaine and Merritt Sanford “Sandy” Oslund.

In addition to her husband Fred, Deborah is survived by her children, Christopher Sapolis and his wife Theresa of Debary, Florida, and Samantha Christina and her husband Steven of Taftville, Connecticut, as well as her sister Barbara Marquis and her husband Ben of Cocoa Beach, Florida. She also leaves behind many bonus children, affectionately known as “The Litter,” along with bonus grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and dear friends.

Deb worked for many years at Stop & Shop, where her time in the floral department sparked a lifelong love of gardening. She remained active in the American Legion, VFW, and Moose International organizations throughout central Connecticut. Above all, she was a devoted mother whose door and heart were always open. Those who knew her will remember her readiness to offer a good cry, a good laugh, or a comforting hug. She cherished time with family and friends, whether fishing, enjoying a summer bonfire, or accompanying her husband to holiday parties as his beloved Mrs. Claus.

She will be remembered for her whimsical and playful spirit, her wonderful sense of humor, and her remarkably big heart. Her ability to love those around her so fully was an inspiration to everyone she touched.
