Deborah Moone
Passed March 8, 2026
Warwick, RI
Deborah "Debbie" Moone, 66, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Throughout her illness, she faced each day with the same quiet resilience, grace, and faith that defined her entire life.
Debbie shared nearly 46 years of marriage with her devoted husband, John. Together they built a life centered on family and faith. She was a proud and deeply loving mother to Paul (Mary), Ashley Sosa (Jorge), and Thaddeus. Her greatest happiness came from her grandson Sammy, who lit up her world and filled her heart with immeasurable joy. Her family was everything to her, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
For more than 30 years, Debbie worked as a teacher’s assistant at Fr. John V. Doyle School. She loved her work and the children she served, offering patience, kindness, and unwavering support that touched countless young lives and their families. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures: telling hilarious stories, beginning new crochet projects, cooking for those she loved, and traveling with her family to create lasting memories. Deeply devoted to her faith, she prayed the rosary every night.
Debbie will be remembered for her loving heart, her quiet strength, and her endless devotion to family. She gave generously of herself and left behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and love. She is survived by her husband John, her children and grandson, her sisters Jean Magiera and Jamie Carlson, her brother Brian Hodor, and many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Paul Hodor and her parents, Mario and Florence Hodor.
