Deborah McCool

Deborah McCool, known affectionately as Deb, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, at Berkshire Medical Center at the age of 66. She was surrounded by her children, Casey and Sunny, who were the center of her world and will miss her always.

Born in Salem, Oregon, on August 25, 1959, Deb was the daughter of the late James Francis Wright and Ona (Schall) Wright. She possessed a unique, stubborn, and sarcastic sense of humor balanced by a genuinely warm spirit. A deep lover of animals and nature, she found her greatest peace living in the woods with her partner, Frank Garcia, who had passed away just a month earlier on January 28, 2026.

She leaves behind her children, Casey and Sunny; her sisters, Sandra and Leona; her “number two” daughter and son-in-law, Alycia and CJ; and her cherished grandchildren, Dracen, Cornelius, and Althea. She will be deeply missed by her extended family and all those whose lives she touched.
