Deborah Lynn Stewart

Deborah Lynn “Debi” Stewart, 66, of Cuddy, passed away unexpectedly at her home on March 9, 2026. Born on March 1, 1960, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Garnet McNamara.

A graduate of Chartiers Valley High School and the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy, Debi spent many years with the South Fayette School District, where she served in a variety of roles and touched countless lives with her kindness and dedication. She was also deeply involved in the Protection Dog Sport community, traveling across the country for years, often accompanied by her family. In addition, she was one of the original organizers of the South Fayette School District Food and Gift Drive, an initiative that brought comfort and support to many families in the community.

Debi found simple pleasures in playing computer games, coloring, and landscaping. She especially cherished time outdoors, where she found peace while tending to her surroundings.

She is survived by her mother, Garnet McNamara; her children, Michael (Seana) Stewart, Leah (Eric) Schnelzer, Cody Stewart, and Linsey (Stephen Zatolochenko) Stewart; her beloved grandchildren, Corey and Savannah Schnelzer, Ellia and Sloane Stewart, and Penelope Zatolochenko; and her brother, Shawn McNamara. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Stewart, in 2019, and by her father, Jerry McNamara.
