Deborah Hochstetler ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home - Tomah on Mar. 10, 2026.Deborah Lynne Hochstetler left peacefully to rest in the comfort and presence of Jesus on the night of March 7, 2026, with family by her side.Born to Loren Benbow and Marie (Hardt Benbow) Meskimen on August 31, 1957, in Elmhurst, Il. Debbie graduated from Pekin High School in 1976 and graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at ICC in 2000, eventually leaving the work force to stay home and selflessly care for her family. She married Marty on the 22nd of May, 1999, where they began the rest of their lives together. Prior to their move to Wisconsin, Debbie and Marty were long time members of Groveland Evangelical Mennonite Church (Groveland Bible Church), where they served the Lord graciously together.Deborah was an exceptional, God-loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved the Lord, Jesus Christ with all her heart and poured that love and joy into every part of her being. She entrusted her whole life with God and worshiped him even through the storms. Jesus rewarded her with her husband and children who also love her and Jesus deeply. She was a good and faithful servant of the Lord.Deborah was preceded in death by both of her parents and one brother, Kenneth Benbow.Survived by her husband, Martin Hochstetler of New Lisbon,Wi, daughter Elizabeth (Chris) Cali of New Lisbon, Wi, sons, Daniel (Christina) Smith, and their four children, Elijah, Isaac, Gabriel, and Eliyanah, of Morton, Il, Adam Smith, of Menard, Il, and six stepsons, Tom (Karen) Hochstetler, James Hochstetler, Mark (Kana) Hochstetler, Michael Hochstetler, Jonathan (Melissa) Hochstetler, Noah (Nguyen) Hochstetler, and their many children.Debbie is also survived by her siblings Natalie Hallebach, John (Marian) Benbow, and Susan Hosto, along with their children, and her two, very best friends Conni and Rick Staker.Though an official service will not be held at this time, her remains will reside with the family, eventually being buried at Groveland EMC. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, which is to be decided.In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe has been set up under "Deborah Hochstetler, New Lisbon, Wi" to help with her prior care costs and cremation.
