Deborah Jean "Matz" Thompson

Deborah Jean Thompson, née Matz, age 71, of Green Tree, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie (Thoms) Matz. Deb was the beloved wife of Gregory Thompson and the loving sister of Sr. Kathleen Matz, CDP and Sandra (Bill) Swyka. She was a cherished aunt to Joelle Ammer, Rebecca Thompson, and Edward Thompson, and a dear sister-in-law to Gerald (Pamela) Thompson.

Deb will be deeply missed by her many loving friends and extended family.

As per her wishes, there will be no visitation. A Committal Service will be held on Saturday, March 28th at 11 a.m. in Kearns Spirituality Chapel, 9000 Babcock Blvd, Allison Park, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Light of Life Rescue Mission, 665 Ridge Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
