Deborah Jane Barker

Deborah Jane Barker, age 72, of Hardee County, Florida, passed away on March 9, 2026, in Zolfo Springs. Born on January 16, 1954, in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, to John Thomas Dickey and Alma Lemay, she had lived in Hardee County for 62 years. She worked at FINR in Wauchula and was a longtime member of First Christian Church of Wauchula.

Deborah cherished reading, days at the beach, and above all, the time she spent with her family. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, caring sister, and loyal partner to Loren Albritton.

She is survived by her children, Richard (Carly) Torres of Parrish, Florida, Jeannie (Terrance) Myrick of Lakeland, Florida, and Bobbie (Daniel) Patterson of Wauchula, Florida; her brothers, John Dickey and Kenneth Dickey; her sisters, Wanda Dickey, Janice Dickey, and Donna Waters; three grandchildren, Ella Torres, Samuel Torres, and Maverick Pleger; and many bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Thomas Dickey; her mother, Alma Dickey; her husband, Bobby Barker; her brothers, Robert Dickey and Larry Dickey; and her sister, Darlene Butler.
