Deborah Palmerton ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Waller Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Mar. 9, 2026.Mrs. Deborah Honey Jagers Palmerton, 71, died Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the Mississippi State Veterans Affairs Home in Oxford, MS.Mrs. Palmerton was born on September 16, 1954, in McComb, MS to the late Mary Francelia Moore Jagers and Hugh F. Jagers, Jr. She was a retired medical sociologist and was the widow of Mr. Ronald Eugene Palmerton to whom she was married for 17 years. Throughout her time in Oxford, she attended Oxford-University United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Autumn Brumfield Fury.She is survived by her sister, Mary Emma Allen and her husband, Tommy of Meridian, MS; two grandsons, Hugh Jackson Barber and James Allen "Jay" Fury; two nieces, Heidi Allen Smith and her husband, Warren and Krisi Allen and three great nephews, Tag Gatlin, Bo Gatlin and his wife, Lucy and Gates Allen.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
