Deborah Faye Kent

Deborah “Debbie” Kent, 74, of Newkirk, Oklahoma, passed away on March 10, 2026. Born on February 19, 1952, in Arkansas City, Kansas, she was the daughter of Jessie Illean Cochran and Frank “Buck” Kennedy.

Debbie cherished her role as mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A lifelong hard worker with a beautiful soul, she devoted herself to caring for her family, always doing whatever was needed to ensure their well-being. Those who loved her will remember her distinctive blend of silliness and grumpiness that defined her personality.

She is survived by her children, Christie Kent Wilson and husband Billy Wilson, Amy Walker and partner Zach Perdue, Melissa Kent, and Vandal Kent and wife Angela Kent; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Cheryl Ely and Frances Maytubby.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kent; her mother, Jessie Cochran; her father, Buck Cochran; her brother, Rusty Kennedy; her sisters, Sue Sigler and Mickey Landers; and her brother-in-law, Bruce Sigler.
