Deborah "Debbie" Eileen Moore

August 14, 1967 March 14, 2026

Energy, IL

Deborah Eileen Moore passed away on March 14, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 14, 1967, in Zanesville, Ohio, she was the daughter of Phillip Moore and Jacqueline Garner. Above all, Debbie’s greatest joy was being a mother. Her boys were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She found happiness in pontoon boating, attending estate sales with her mother, watching the kids play baseball, and enjoying quiet evenings at home watching British crime shows.

Debbie devoted much of her life to helping others. She proudly served as a Lieutenant Colonel with the United States Air Force Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol. She worked for 17 years at Saint Joseph’s West Hospital in Lake St. Louis, Missouri, served as a substitute teacher for the Marion and Herrin school districts, worked as a case manager for Lutheran Social Services, helped open Walker’s Bluff Casino as the Food and Beverage Manager, and later spent three years with Harry Crisp and Crisp Realty.

She is survived by her mother, Jacqueline Garner; her sons, Mitchell Winn and Travis (Emma) Winn; her brother, Jeff (Penny) Moore; and her sister, Dana (Travis) Leapley, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Garner; her brother, Kevin Moore; and her great aunts, Lillian Garner and Ruby Garner-Hoffman.
