Deborah Donald

Deborah Donald, age 69, of DeBerry, Texas, passed away on Tuesday evening, March 10, 2026, at her home. She was born on March 6, 1957, in Houston, Texas, to Wallace Laughlin Shields, Sr. and Juanita Maxine Evans Shields. Deborah married Larry Dean Donald on September 2, 1983. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2019, after 36 years of marriage.

For 28 years she worked at the Coffee Shop in Carthage, where she served many people with quiet dedication. She cherished her family above all, finding her greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren and creating lasting memories together.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larry Dean Donald; her son, Larry Dean “Bubba” Donald, Jr.; her son-in-law, James Hicks; her mother-in-law, Emma Corley; and her brother-in-law, Curtis Donald.

Deborah is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Hicks, Casey Griffith and husband William Jr., and Brook Donald; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
