Deborah Bullard

Deborah Bullard, née Goldberg, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, at the age of 74 in Tigard, Oregon. Born in Portland on August 9, 1951, she was the daughter of Herman and Anita Goldberg. Debbie spent her childhood in Northeast and Southwest Portland, graduated from Sunset High School in Beaverton in 1969, and attended Southern Oregon College and the University of Oregon. She and her husband, Michael, raised their family in the Tigard and Tualatin area.

After working in Portland, Debbie founded her own advertising business, Spreadin’ the Word, partnering with local businesses. She held a deep love for the Oregon coast, embraced spontaneity, and found great joy in connecting with others. Her warmth, humor, and genuine kindness endeared her to everyone around her. She was quick with a sincere compliment and had a special gift for bringing out the best in those she met.

Debbie was a devoted mother, nana, sister, daughter, and aunt who was cherished by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Michael; her son, Eric Bullard; her daughter, Emily Chlumak (Martin); her grandchildren, Jack and Grace Chlumak; her brother, Dr. Linn Goldberg, and sister-in-law, Marsha Serling Goldberg; and her many nephews. At her request, no services will be held.
