Deborah A. Banta

Deborah A. Banta, 77, of West Columbia, South Carolina, passed away on March 5, 2026, at Lexington Medical Center. Born on July 14, 1949, in New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rita J. Stonka.

Before retiring, Debbie worked as a legal secretary for several lawyers. She found great joy in spending time with friends and cooking for them, and she loved expressing her creativity through crafting in her spare time. She also cherished her furry Shih tzus, who brought her constant companionship and delight.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Louis S. Banta, who passed away in 2007.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara L. Robbins and her husband Don of Pennsylvania, a niece and nephew and their children, and her beloved companion of many years, Daryl Dieball. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
