Deanna Jefferson ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Bullis Mortuary on Mar. 16, 2026.Deanna Yvonne Jefferson passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, after a very long and tough battle with Diabetes. Up until the end, Deanna maintained her happiness, grace, compassion, appreciation of beauty, love of family and friends, and expressed gratitude for her long life, full of amazing adventures. Her life can best be encapsulated by three words: Family, Friends, and Fun. In her almost 47 years here with us, she experienced an abundance of each.Deanna spent her early years in Hardin, MT, living with her mother, Eileen Stops-Redbird, and many of her sisters and brothers, where she felt very loved and supported. Deanna always knew she wanted to someday raise a family of her own. That dream came true when she was introduced to William RisingSun by a friend at school in Busby, MT. She and William knew they had met the person with whom they would build a family. Together for over 27 years, they loved each other endlessly. Together, they had four children, Ambrien, Aubrey (Stops), Aiden, and Avin RisingSun, whom she loved deeply. She enjoyed attending basketball games to cheer on her eldest daughter, also cheering on her oldest son, Aiden, at his football games, and going to school functions to celebrate all her kids' accomplishments and endeavors. The crowning glory of Deanna was the arrival of grandchildren. She delighted in everything about her new role as a grandmother and took on the role of "Kaa'la" proudly. She made it a point ot be as engaged as possible with her grandchildren. From babysitting to attending birthday parties. Deanna delighted in her grandchildren, who love her dearly. She was so ready to be a kaa'la, she talked to our bellies (Amby and Aubrey) every chance she got. Deanna wanted her grandkids to know her and know she loved every one of them to the moon and back. She will be missed beyond words; she always had the right words to say or knew how to make someone smile.Deanna cherished her friendships, developing them at each stage of her life, with most of these lasting the remainder of her life. Her friendships encompassed all aspects of life, and each was special to her. From phone call chats to adventures near and far, to helping in times of sadness and difficulty, Deanna was up for it all. She was known not just for enjoying her friendships but for being a good friend as well.Deanna was a free spirit, she loved to laugh and tease around. She was always smiling and in a great mood. She knew how to brighten up a room and break the ice no matter how thick. Deanna loved Bob Marley, she had all his CD's and numerous flags, posters, and shirts she was very proud of. She had a joy for dolphins and loved how sweet and peaceful they were. She was a gem of a person who appreciated all that life gave her. Even in her diminished state near the end of her life, she quickly made friends. Deanna would express how grateful she was to have lived a long life full of wonderful experiences as well as a loving family, many good friends and copassionate care givers. She truly embodied the adage of life well lived.Deanna is survived by her kids; Ambrien (Jeffery) Roundstone-RisingSun, Aubrey (Ricky) Bianas, Aiden (Beadilyn) RisingSun-McDonald, Avin (Krissy) RisingSun; grandchildren Jerald and Ellie Roundstone, Rory, Chloe, and Ricky (JR) Bianas, Henny and Kay'leana RisingSun, Jocelyn, William and Lucien RisingSun; sisters Shaliyah (Maynard) Yellowrobe, Kelly (Tyler) Mountainsheep-Nelson, Lila Mountain Sheep, Tisha (Torrey) Davie, Marla and Felicia Jefferson, Kathryn Little Light; brothers Gilbert Wolfe adn John (Whitney) Mountain Sheep, Leonard Jefferson, Delvecchip Jefferson Sr., aunt Julia Wolfe, uncle Maurice (Marvis) Mountain Sheep; Nieves Joniah's (Ozzy, Emoni, and Xomarr Bigback) Fallsdown, Amiyah (Genisis, Osiris Axel), Shalamar, Jasmine, and Leilani Mountainsheep, Heaven, Lyllian, Aaliyah and Ta'lissa Mountainsheep, Jazlynn Yellowrobe, Deviah and Deziah Jefferson, Mija Firebear, Jazmyn White Clay; nephews John Jr. (Angel), Lanaiya and Analeigha) Fallsdown, Willis Fallsdown, Tyrall, Tyler Jr., and Austin Mountainsheep, Evan, Kalob, and Alessio Mountainsheep, Preston Mountain Sheep, Emilio, Laivence, Kayden, Shylon (Fallsdown) and Baby Ragu Yellowrobe, Delvecchio Jr. and Dyami Jefferson, Guy, Sid, Tim, Archer, Chey Junior, and Weston White Clay. She was preceded in death by Her mother Eileen (Ward) Stops-Realbird, father Frank (Agnes) Fallsdown; sisters Frances Fallsdown, Marion Mountain Sheep, Roses Jefferson, Lucy (Pumpkin) Hill Jefferson; brothers John Dean Falls Down, Sr., Taylon Mountain Sheep, Henry (JR) Jefferson and aunty Danelle Walks.Deanna's extended family includes Stops, Big Hair, Carpenter, Stewart, Rogers, Medicine Horse, PrettyOnTop, Yarlott, Enick, Fighter, Walks, House, Deputee, Bear Cloud, Half and Not Afraid families. Please forgive us if we forgot to mention anyone; we have a very large family.
