Dean A. Fisher, 63, of Worcester passed away on February 18, 2026, while visiting family and friends in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Dean is survived by his children, seven daughters, Hope R. Fisher of Worcester and her children Imari and Royce, Joyce A. Fisher of Spencer, Alisha D. Fisher of Worcester and her children Chris, Mia, Maxine, and Seth, Deann D. Richardson of Worcester and her children Danielle and Autumn, Tiarra D. Fisher of Brooklyn, New York, Alixandra Coran of Worcester, and Danni Fisher of Minas Gerais, Brazil; one son Dean A. Fisher of Olympia, Washington.
He leaves behind brothers Carthur A. Fisher Jr., Rodney Fisher, Mark Fisher, Derrick Fisher, Gary Fisher, Richard Fisher, Michael Fisher, Brandin Fisher and Raymond Coates Jr. Sisters Florence Potter, Pamela Fisher, Elizabeth Weatherspoon, Jennifer Fisher and Brie-Anna O'Malley. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Dean was predeceased by his parents Dorothy E. (Salmon) Coates and Carthur A. Fisher and one brother Dennis R. Fisher.
Dean was born on January 1, 1963 in Worcester, Massachusetts. He lived most of his life in Worcester and proudly served his country for 18 years in the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army, attaining the rank of Corporal prior to his honorable discharge. During his service, he was awarded several commendations in recognition of his dedication.
He was always committed to supporting others and could often be found volunteering at John Street Baptist Church, the Worcester Veterans Inc, and offering a helping hand to anyone in need. Throughout his many years working in customer service, he was known for his warm personality and his phrase “and with a smile”. Dean was a natural jokester who loved sharing laughter and brightening someone’s day. In recent years, he spent his time traveling and enjoying life surrounded by family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 13th at 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM to at Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with services to follow. A repast service will be held at 2 PM at the Cherry Valley American Legion Post 443, 167 Main Street, Cherry Valley.
