He is survived by: his wife Bertha Hartke; his children, Rustin Hartke (Erin) of Oakland City, Rhett Hartke (Amanda) of Petersburg, Ronica Hartke Hageman (Eric) of Knoxville and Ryan Hartke (Wendy Thompson); and his stepdaughter Tiffanie Banks (Lawrence) of Evansville. He is also survived by grandchildren and (3) great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the St. Peters Lutheran Church (10529 Church St, Stendal, IN 47585). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at the St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery (10529 Church St, Stendal, IN 47585).
