Dawna Raye McHand

Dawna Raye McHand of Batchelor, Louisiana, passed away on March 14, 2026, at the age of 61. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister whose warm presence touched everyone around her.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph McHand, Jr.; her children, Megan McGrew (Jason), Abby Landry (Devin), Olivia McHand, and Nathan McHand; and her beloved grandchildren, Josephine Rose, Makenzie, Bryson, Lindsey, Annagrace, Parker, Holly, and Hendrick. Dawna also leaves behind her parents, Joseph Leonard (Pete) and Laura Leonard; her mother-in-law, Ester McHand; her father-in-law, Wesley McHand, Sr.; her sisters, Gaylen Dawson (Mac), Denise Leonard, and Josie McElroy; and her sisters-in-law, Tina Hebert (Chuck) and Nickie Plauche (Slugger).

Her family will always remember the love and devotion she showed them throughout her life.
