Dawn Marie Spotted Horse, 53, of Aberdeen and formerly of McLaughlin, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital in Aberdeen.
Born and raised in McLaughlin, Dawn lived a life deeply connected to her family and her Lakota heritage. She carried herself with quiet strength and warmth, always ready to offer a kind word or a helping hand to those around her. Her move to Aberdeen in recent years brought her closer to new opportunities while she remained rooted in the values and relationships that shaped her.
She is survived by her loving family, who will remember her gentle spirit, her steadfast presence, and the many ways she touched their lives. Dawn’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
