He grew up with a creative spirit that stayed with him throughout his life. His mother often said David was "born with a pencil in his hand," a gift that would shape his career and passions. He graduated from Siloam Springs High School in Arkansas in 1977 and later attended Western Carolina University, where he continued his studies in the arts.Dave had a natural talent for creativity and design that he turned into a lifelong craft. He spent many years creating websites and graphic designs for businesses, artists, and friends, combining artistic vision with technical skill. Whether he was designing logos, building websites, or bringing someone's idea to life visually, Dave took great pride in his work. His creativity extended beyond the screen as well-he loved writing and was the author of The Talisman Key, published under the pseudonym D.E. Tomas. In addition to his artistic pursuits, Dave was an entrepreneur who co-owned a coatings company and held three patents, reflecting his inventive mind and curiosity.While Dave had many accomplishments, his greatest joy was always the people he loved. He met the love of his life, Diane, in 1993 in a mutual friend's garage-an ordinary moment that led to an extraordinary life together. They were married on July 25, 1998, and shared years filled with laughter, creativity, and love. One of Dave's favorite pastimes was cooking with Diane, experimenting with new recipes and enjoying time together in the kitchen.Dave also loved writing lyrics and music, spending time with friends and family, and relaxing by the pool where conversations and laughter often lasted long into the evening. He had a way of bringing people together and making everyday moments memorable.Dave proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1981 to 1985, an experience that was an important part of his life.He is survived by his loving wife, Diane; his daughters, Melissa and Jennifer; his sister, Karen (Dwayne); his brother, Steve (Pat); and his beloved grandchildren, Kaylee, Chase, Conor, Kellen, and McKenna. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss his creativity, humor, and generous spirit.Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Evlyne Taylor, and his son, Michael.Dave will be remembered for his artistic talent, inventive mind, warm heart, and the deep love he had for his family.
