DAVID WAYNE HURST

David Wayne Hurst, age 81, of Pineville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Born on June 14, 1944, in Pineville to the late David and Nevada Hurst, he was a lifelong resident of the community he cherished.

Wayne was a longtime member and deacon of Blue Ridge Baptist Church, where his faith and service left a lasting impression on those around him. He shared 61 devoted years with his loving wife, Carolyn Sue Hurst. He is survived by his daughter, Beth Ann Hurst, his grandson, Anthony Wayne Hurst, all of Pineville, and his brother, Steve Hurst (Delores) of Middlesboro. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Brambley, and his son, Barry Wayne Hurst.

Those who knew Wayne will remember his steady presence, his deep commitment to family and faith, and the quiet strength he brought to every part of his life. He will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends who held him dear.
