Passed March 6, 2026
Milford, MA
David W. Cheschi, 60, of Milford, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 6, 2026. Born in Rochester, New Hampshire, he was the son of the late Louis J. Cheschi Jr. and the late Dianne L. (Miller) Chambers. David graduated from Milford High School with the Class of 1983 and later studied electronics at a local community college.
After beginning his career at Waters Associates in Milford, David followed his lifelong passion for motorcycles. What started as a boyhood love of dirt bikes grew into a successful entrepreneurial path. He founded and operated Dirt Cycle Salvage, first in Hopedale and later in Mendon, along with Stator Corporation in Mendon. Known for his deep expertise, he was respected by many whether he was repairing stators, riding trails, buying, selling, or collecting.
Away from work, David was an accomplished Texas Hold ‘em poker player who competed in numerous tournaments, often at Foxwoods. That same location became the setting for many cherished family vacations, where his children fondly remember room service, pool days, arcade fun, and the excitement of the motion movie ride. Through his hard work and love of adventure, he created lasting memories for those closest to him.
David is survived by his three children, Sara Cheschi of Millville, Massachusetts, Stevie Lee Cheschi and her partner Andrew Redquest of Norwood, Massachusetts, and David Cheschi of Milford, Massachusetts; three grandchildren, Aidin Rawlinson, Adalyn Rawlinson, and Colton Redquest; his former wife, Carol A. (Grant) Cheschi of Milford; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts. He was the brother of the late Steven E. Cheschi and the late Robert S. Cheschi.
