DAVID WALKER, JR

David Walker, Jr., age 90, entered peacefully into eternal rest at his residence on Thursday, March 5, 2026. A native and lifelong resident of Gretna, Louisiana, he retired after many years as a delivery driver for Carlo Ditta Concrete and Technical Engineering Consultants, Inc.

He was a devoted father to Yolanda W. (Joseph) Ledet, David C. Walker, and Steven M. Walker, and a loving grandfather to Iuyana (Tim) Miller, Tashie (Paul) Odom, Jac’Quelle Ledet, Madison, Alexa, and Chloe Walker. He was the son of the late David Walker, Sr. and Fannie H. Roland, and stepson of the late Thomas Roland. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, his brother Louis Benn, sisters Dora Brumfield and Aldonia (Willie) Harris, stepbrother Albert Caine, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will cherish his memory.

David will be remembered for the quiet strength and steady presence he brought to his family throughout his long life. His legacy lives on through the generations he leaves behind.
