David Thomas Fogg

David Thomas Fogg, known affectionately as Dave, was born on September 16, 1953, in Seaford, Delaware, to the late Daniel Thomas Fogg and Eleanor Louise Fogg. He passed away peacefully at the age of 72 on March 5, 2026, at Beebe Health Care, surrounded by his wife and family.
A mild-mannered and calm presence from his youth, David excelled in his studies and athletics throughout grade school. He attended Seaford High School in Seaford, Delaware, where he distinguished himself as a competitive athlete in football, basketball, and baseball. After serving in the United States Army and receiving an honorable discharge, he began a long career at what was then the Townsend Poultry plant, later known as Mountaire Farms in Millsboro, Delaware. He worked as a forklift driver for 35 years before retiring in 2023.
On June 19, 2022, David married his beloved wife, Brenda Sturgis. He found quiet joy in fishing, watching television, spending time with his grandchildren, and cheering for the Washington Commanders.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Fogg, and his sister, Charity Fogg. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sturgis Fogg of Millsboro, Delaware; his bonus son, Donte’ (Tammy) Sturgis of Millsboro, Delaware; two brothers, Paul (Shirley) Fogg of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Joel (Vera) Fogg of Federalsburg, Maryland; two sisters, Sheila Fogg of Seaford, Delaware, and Lynn Fogg Wilson of Camden, Delaware; two grandchildren, Aaliyah Sturgis and Londynn Sturgis, both of Millsboro, Delaware; one brother-in-law, Apostle Thomas (Sylvia Sturgis) of Millsboro, Delaware; and three sisters-in-law, Elder Yvonne (Pastor Brian) Cannon of Millsboro, Delaware, Darlene (Thomas) Jolley of Georgetown, Delaware, and Regin (Douglas) Mackey of Georgetown, Delaware. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
